Heidi Overbeck is the founder of Taproot Solutions, a strategic consulting firm that helps mission-driven organizations flourish through communications, program, and management support.

Informed by 20 years of advancing social causes, Heidi is able to forge pathways to progress, no matter the conditions. Through experience as a foundation leader, communications strategist, political operative, and issue advocate, Heidi has developed a unique ability to bridge political divides and bring diverse audiences together around shared goals.

Before founding Taproot, Heidi was Chief Strategy Officer at the Gill Foundation, where she led a team of program, communications, and operations professionals in devising and funding public education campaigns to secure LGBTQ rights. Prior to that, Heidi spent a decade as a senior communications strategist between BerlinRosen and Fenton, leading sophisticated communications campaigns for clients at the forefront of environmental sustainability, social justice, public health, and political inclusion.

Heidi was born and raised in a small mountain town in western Colorado, which shaped her passion for environmental issues and her commitment to finding common ground with people from all walks of life. When Heidi isn’t supporting a cause she cares about or spending time with her family, she can probably be found in the garden.
